Description
Introducing a new version of my series of contemporary Hawaiian Quilt Designs. Thank you for your continued interest in these beautiful prints.
This features watercolor pineapples with a tropical bark cloth subliminal design in the background.
Hawaiian quilts became popular when the missionary women introduced quilting to the islands. Patterns were soon adapted to feature botanicals found in the islands such as leaves, flowers and fruit. It is believed that breadfruit was the first pattern used in Hawaiian quilting. Other popular designs include pineapple, plumeria, hibiscus and kikui nut leaves.
This is a contemporary design based on traditional Hawaiian quilting styles. Be sure to check out my other designs in this series.
Additionally, an expanded line of quality products not offered here can be found in my shops on Society 6 and RedBubble. Feel free to contact me for more information.
This digital work of art was created using watercolor and dry brush methods. Watermark will not appear on purchased image.
