Description
Whilst skies are blue and bright,
Whilst flowers are gay,
Whilst eyes that change ere night
Make glad the day;
Whilst yet the calm hours creep,
Dream thouβand from thy sleep
Then wake to weep.
--- Percy Shelley
This modern still life features clusters of lovely hydrangea blossoms. This digital still life was inspired by a recent Maggie Greenwald film, "Sophie and the Rising Sun," that was based on the book by Augusta Trobaugh. Hydrangea blossoms play a big part in this touching and poignant movie set in South Carolina at the start of WWII.
This digital work of art was created using a combination of watercolor and palette knife techniques. Watermark will not appear on purchased image.
