Inspired by the early days of the Matson Lurline steamship cruises to Hawaii and the "Hawaii Calls" radio program, this is a retro style Hawaiian travel poster. This is a best selling print in my shop on Society 6.
The 1920s and1930s was a time when every visitor to the islands was greeted with a flower lei. Local entertainers would gather at the Aloha Tower pier and play Hawaiian music while hula dancers greeted visitors with a lovely and graceful welcome of Aloha. This was a truly special era in Hawaii.
This vintage style work of art was created using a combination of watercolor and dry brush methods. Watermark will not appear on purchased image.
