Oh, Douglas, Hawaiian song lyrics and poems are so lovely. The way they phrase passages and use metaphors throughout is just beautiful. The Hawaiian language just simply flows with lyrical rhythm. I think that's why I love the traditional (not touristy) music so very much and listen to it often. It's soft and gentle and seems to float on the sea breezes. Queen Lili'oukalani wrote some of the most special and they always had such deep meaning, Mahalo nui loa, my dear friend.
