My father grew the most amazing flowers in his gardens. I will always remember him for his magnificent dahlias and especially the colorful and beautiful bird of paradise he grew on Maui. There were always an abundance of blooms on his vast clusters of plants. While they were always lovely to look at, I especially loved their brilliant displays of color under a full Hawaiian moon -- where the night sky and moon glow gives everything it touches a bit of magic. This was inspired by a memory of his beautiful garden.
This digital work of art was created using a combination of dry brush and palette knife techniques. Watermark will not appear on purchased image.
